TKM.XOXO

Nena Loaysa (Seville, 1986), known as TKM.XOXO, is a visual artist with a degree in Fine Arts from the University of Seville and in printmaking and design from the University of Salamanca. She currently lives and works in Cádiz.
TKM.XOXO’s work is characterized by capturing her personal imagery through a subjective, intuitive, and colorful figuration. Her pieces are a spontaneous expression of her experiences and thoughts as an artist, woman, and mother.
Her art reflects what it means to be human—imperfect and vulnerable—which she presents with a mix of comedy and seriousness, mirroring her own life experiences. She skillfully incorporates a deep and necessary sense of the absurd, navigating between awareness, testimony, imagination, and the unseen aspects of everyday life to reveal that true meaning lies beyond the surface of what is represented.
Since 2019, TKM.XOXO has participated in art fairs such as Estampa and Art Madrid in Madrid, Art Fair Amsterdam in the Netherlands, and Scope Art Fair in Miami.
ARTIST STATEMENT
"I want to tell my little piece of truth."
My work is a reflection of my life, my experiences as a woman, mother, and artist. Since I was a child, art has been my way of understanding the world around me and expressing what I couldn’t put into words. I paint to understand myself, to find peace in the midst of chaos, and to connect with those who resonate with the themes I explore.
My work focuses on representing women, their strength, and their struggle against social structures that seek to limit them. Through characters in everyday scenes, I try to capture what I find in seemingly simple moments, which I like to call “micro-happiness” as a mother and as a person. The ordinary, the intimate, and the autobiographical intertwine in my work, where what is unseen—what lies behind the representation—emerges as the truly important element.
I have worked with various techniques and materials, but lately, I have been focusing on acrylic, a medium that allows me precision in detail without losing the vitality of the shapes and colors that define my style. Through my work, I aim to create a space where the personal becomes universal, where the viewer can question, discover, and ultimately see themselves reflected in the stories I tell.
