“THE GRAND SLAM OF SPEED” FEATURING SOL FELPETO AND LINA CONDES

24 February - 9 June 2025

In a groundbreaking exhibition that merges the worlds of high-octane racing and elite tennis, two acclaimed artists, Sol Felepo and Lina Condes, will present "The Grand Slam of Speed" at Le Meridien Beach Plaza, 22 Av. Princesse Grace, 98000, from February 24 2025 to June 9  2025. This innovative art show will explore the dynamic intersection of speed, athleticism, and artistry, capturing the exhilarating essence of both sports.

Animals, cartoons, art and sport history frequently collide in Sol Felpeto’s Pop-inspired paintings and illustrations in a style she calls “arttoons.” Born in Venezuela and raised between Madrid and Argentina, Felpeto comes from a diverse background that informs her wide variety of themes and styles.

Felpeto's art is a visual narrative of humor and commentary from her signature characters to reimagined historical sports matchups. Using humor to communicate with her audience, she offers viewers an accessible entry point to explore deeper cultural, historical, and social themes. These recurring elements are not only expressions of her imagination but also invite conversation on identity, history, and the power of humor in visual storytelling.

Felpeto’s art has been exhibited in numerous international galleries and events, such as at Art Miami (Miami), Kiaf (Korea), Art Taipei (Taipei), and Art Karlsruhe (Germany), among other prestigious events. Whether through a humorous take on historical events or playful reimaginings of familiar cultural symbols, her art remains deeply personal while resonating with a global audience.

Lina Condes, a Ukrainian-American artist renowned for her distinctive stick figure and emoji-inspired art, grew up in a family of physics and mathematics professors, who inspired her early fascination with using industrial materials as a medium for sculpting. For this exhibition, Condes has crafted stunning pieces that capture the energy and spirit of tennis. Using industrial materials such as stainless steel and paint, she portrays dynamic tennis players in motion, showcasing the elegance and dynamism of the sport through her unique sculptural style.

Abroad, you can find her work in galleries located in Monaco, Geneva, London, and Dubai.  Condes' art has been showcased in multiple international galleries and events such as M17 Contemporary Art Centre Kyiv, Art Miami, and Biennale di Venezia. Her pieces have been placed in collections of notable names including the Tisch family, Stanley Silver, John DeLuca, Susan Estes, Bruce A. Beal Sr., and more. They are also on display in sheiks collections in the Middle East.
