DANHÔO
PERCORSO ARTISTICO

ABOUT
Danhôo, born in Vietnam and with Chinese ancestry, is a contemporary artist based in France, renowned for merging Eastern calligraphy with the expressive energy of Western abstract painting. After moving to Paris in the 1990s, he collaborated with major contemporary figures such as Erró, JonOne, and Robert Combas, which deeply influenced his artistic language.
His work explores painting as an act of energy and meditation. Each gesture, like a calligraphic sign, becomes an extension of the body — spontaneous yet precise. By layering paint, resin, and transparencies, Danhôo creates vibrant compositions where movement, light, and rhythm intertwine.
Bridging the gap between East and West, his practice embodies both spiritual depth and modern dynamism. Represented internationally by Bel-Air Fine Art, Danhôo’s works are part of significant private and public collections across Europe, Asia, and the United States.
