UrbanSolid, has populated great cities of the world with its creatures of plaster; they are around the corner, when you least expect it, especially in London, Milan, Turin.
The duo of former students of the Academy of Fine Arts in Milan, active on the scene for
two and a half years, loves to apply gigantic parts of human anatomy to unused walls of
dilapidated urban places. The three dimensional installations that come out, ironic and
provocative, allow a tactile as well asa visual experience.
The sculptures become life forms in movement, in the act of detaching and developing
from the wall. The favorite subjects are: human casts, hands that do mysterious operations,
televisions, maxi ears, spermatozoa and skeletons of animals.
The Street Art's third dimension!
Urbansolid is a project whose purpose is to bring the third dimension to writing. At the
Brera Academy of Fine Arts, after a short period of collaboration, they understand that
their sculptural work is getting closer and closer to an urban language: the return to the walls of the city is the immediate consequence.
The sculptures, which are articulated on the walls of the metropolis, such as human anatomical casts, guns, televisions and other various objects, havecontemporary and allegorical meanings. They often make a multiple on the wall, interacting directly with the viewer who, this time, can really touch the street art.
