Nella Ryder is a British multidisciplinary artist whose work is primarily autobiographical. She explores relationships, attachments, and emotional states within different mediums utilizing music, sculpture, painting, fashion, and the digital arts. In Nella’s ten years in the music industry, she collaborated with EMI, Island, and Mercury Records, alongside Sony and Warner Music, performing in London, Nashville, and Los Angeles. She has performed at Glastonbury and Cornbury Festival. Nella also writes her own songs, recording and licensing them for film and television.
Art has always been an integral part of her musical career, and now, after moving to Milan, she is concentrating more on her sculpture and painting whilst still continuing to create music. From an early age, she learned her craft by watching her mother, contemporary artist Sophie Ryder, at work in the studio; she would often be used as a model for her fantastical figures and assist in her work.
Nella’s work is held in private collections both in England and Los Angeles and has also been exhibited in international locations including Art Gallery di Emanuele Giampaolo (Naples), Ryder Park (Gloucestershire), Aynhoe Park (Oxfordshire), and The Swan (Gloucestershire).
