MAX STEVEN GROSSMAN
VIAJE ARTÍSTICO

Max Steven Grossman is a contemporary photographer whose work investigates the nature of reality and visual memory in the digital age. With a background in engineering from the University of Philadelphia (1994) and an M.A. in Photography from New York University and the International Center of Photography (2000), his practice centres on cultural and bibliographic collections and landscapes that function as metaphors for knowledge, loss, and accumulation.
In series such as Bookscapes, Grossman builds imaginary libraries by digitally reconstructing multiple photographs of real bookshelves, creating large-scale installations. These works speak to the transformation of the physical book and the shift of knowledge into the virtual realm.
Grossman’s work has been exhibited internationally in galleries and art fairs, and is held in private and public collections around the world. His approach marries technical precision, a clean aesthetic, and conceptual strategy, positioning him as a significant figure in contemporary photography
