“Esplorare l’animo umano è la più difficile e la più battuta delle strade, e nessuna è uguale all’altra. Silvestre percorre la sua mettendo al centro della ricerca sé stesso e le sue ferite, la sua memoria, le sue visioni: intrappola il passato per costruire il presente attraverso figure senza tempo e senza volto, in cui ognuno può riflettersi e ritrovare sé stesso.

Nelle opere presentate, la rappresentazione dell’essere umano è ridotta ad un insieme di poligoni dalle superfici levigate, dove la luce, a tratti, pare scivolare senza appiglio, quasi a voler sottolineare l’inafferrabile dell’animo umano”

 

"Exploring the human soul is the most difficult and the most traveled of roads, and no two are alike. Silvestre travels his by placing himself and his wounds, his memory, and his visions at the center of his research: he traps the past in order to construct the present through timeless and faceless figures, in which everyone can reflect and find himself.

In the works presented, the representation of the human being is reduced to a set of polygons with polished surfaces, where light, at times, seems to slip without a foothold, as if to emphasize the elusive nature of the human soul."

 

The rust of feelings, curated by Giacomo Nicolella Maschietti, Marcello Silvestre's solo show, is a unique opportunity to be able to enter the artist's world, to be able to fully understand his life story. 

 

After enjoying great success first at Basel art Miami and then at Palm Beach art fair, his anthropomorphic sculptures will be presented at Espinasse 31 contemporary art gallery in Milan from April 6 to June 3.

 

Marcello Silvestre is an Italian artist and architect, he explores through his works the relationship between man and the soul, he tells about himself through his works, he talks about his fragilities, his pains, his emotions, in which we can all find ourselves.

 

The 3D printer and digital are his allies, as the sculptures are designed by computer and printed with plastic materials.
